70th Annual Raleigh Christmas Parade 2014

A look back at the Early Days
of the Raleigh Christmas Parade

Saturday, November 22, 2014 celebrates the 70th Annual Raleigh Christmas Parade. It is the largest Christmas parade between Washington, D.C. and Atlanta. Over 250,000 will watch the parade live from home and over 60,000 will attend the parade in person. Starting at 9:40am the parade will last approximately 2.5 hours and will feature something for the whole family. It will be re-broadcast on Christmas morning.

The Raleigh Christmas Parade begins on Hillsborough Street and ends at Lenoir Street. If you are planning on attending the parade in person, make sure to bundle up, arrive early and be ready for a morning full of festive fun! Something to think about, the parade will end around 12:30 and after a morning of excitement, many will be hungry. If you are planning to grab a bite to eat, making a reservation ahead of time might be a good idea. The last thing you want is to be stuck in line waiting for lunch along with 60,000 other people!
