Grab your mittens, lace up your kicks, and make your way to City Plaza in Downtown Raleigh for a 10-week long holiday event featuring an outdoor skating rink made with natural ice. The ice rink is open from November 22, 2014 to February 1, 2015. Skaters will also be able to skate during the mayor's tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 6th.
There are several discount days and events to give you more bang for your buck:
- Two for Tuesdays - On Tuesdays when you buy one admission at full price, you get the second admission free
- Date & Skate Night - On Thursdays if you arrive between 6-9 p.m., you can enjoy a complimentary horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown Raleigh with the purchase of an ice rink wristband.
- Rock Around the Rink Fridays - On Fridays from 8-11pm, skaters will glide to the beat as local DJs spin the hottest hits
Ice rink admission (including skate rental) is $9 for both adults and children.
